I started with a simple idea:
A grandfather wants to eat his pancake.
A fly has other plans.
What surprised me wasn’t the final video, it was the process.
Instead of writing a giant prompt and hoping for the best, I kept directing the story scene by scene through conversation. The grandfather gets annoyed. The fly keeps returning. The garden slowly turns into a war zone. Every new shot came from reacting to the previous one and pushing the story further.
Honestly,
@openart_ai Director feels a lot like vibe directing to me.
You’re not really prompting anymore. You’re directing through chat, adjusting performances, camera angles, pacing, transitions, and story beats as the film evolves.
This short started as breakfast in a peaceful garden and ended with an exhausted grandfather and a fly sitting among the ruins of their own battle.
I keep calling this vibe directing because that’s genuinely what it feels like.
